What do I expect from an Urgent Care visit?
A thorough examination is carried out to determine the best treatment or combination of treatments. The session lasts for about one hour and usually includes the examination, treatment and a herbal prescription where necessary. For severe cases, you will be referred to an emergency care facility or hospital.
How often do I need treatment?
The number of treatments will vary from person to person depending on the specifics of their case. Conditions that have been around longer tend to take longer to resolve than conditions that are more recent.
Are there any side effects to Acupuncture?
The main side effect of acupuncture is relaxation. The area around the needles may become red (due to increased blood flow) but this quickly fades away.
Is Acupuncture Painful?
No. An acupuncture needles is thinner than a strand of hair. Most of the needles you will not feel and any sensation will only be for a moment.
